CEO's Message

With Change Comes Opportunity

With the resignation of Graham Ford, a window has arisen to re-assess how we do our business and to seek improvement and opportunities therein.

Graham’s appointment as Sri Lankan coach is well deserved and places him firmly in the international spotlight again. I want to personally thank him for his significant contribution to Dolphins cricket and wish him great success in this new chapter of his
career. He will be missed.

In the same breath, we welcome Lance Klusener as the Sunfoil Dolphins Head Coach until the end of the season. Lance has been part of our coaching structure for the past 3 years, so he is no stranger to our players and system.

Lance is sure to bring his own leadership style and attitude to the changeroom and this promises to be an exciting time. The players are keen to learn from such an icon of Dolphins and Proteas cricket and I look forward to the Dolphins growth under
Lance’s leadership.

In other areas, the Dolphins Cub Team (U19) did exceptionally well at the recent Cubs Week. This, together with results of the other age group teams at the National Weeks, means that we have a very good crop of youngsters coming through. Our challenge is to ensure we keep them in the province and continue to accelerate their growth and development.

The Sharks/Sunfoil Dolphins fun day was a tremendous success with over 11 000 people attending. This promises now to become an annual event. My thanks to all the fans from both teams for attending!

Thanks
Jesse!
